Men's Hockey rebounds at Bethel, gets weekend split

No. 15-ranked Tommie Men's Hockey used goals by five different players and avenged a Friday night home loss to Bethel as it scored a 5-1 win Saturday night in Blaine to split the weekend series.

The Tommies (5-2-1 overall, 3-1 MIAC) erupted for three goals in a 3:59 span early second period to erase a 1-0 BU lead.

Freshmen Charlie Kiefer and Ian Mageau each collected their first collegiate goal. Freshman Jack Vincent recorded a goal and an assist. John Peterson and Derek Olmschenk scored the other goals, the latter a short-handed empty-net goal in the final 2:30.

The Toms sit near the top of the early MIAC standings with a 3-1 league record, matching Augsburg, and sitting just behind 2-0 St. Mary's.
